There's no denying the fact that Pagcor is racking up the cash when it comes to gambling operations in the country. Why shouldn't it when it is the only licensed company to handle legalized gambling in the country? One problem with Pagcor is that it seems to be content with just earnings from the country. There's a big world out there, and it's strange why Pagcor is not venturing towards getting a share of the international gambling market. Managing casinos and slots can only get you so far.
It's not that Pagcor has not done anything in the online realm. Pagcor has also launched e-cafes and online betting sites for basketball and cockfighting. But then, the issue with those is that these are too localized. Only Filipinos would be more than likely interested in placing bets.Aside from that, these are not entirely open to the internet public. You would have to go to the Pagcor cafe to get access to them. So they are not entirely online. Why can't Pagcor create an online gambling site like that? The possible earnings are too big to just ignore. They should at least do something to get a part of that budget. |
